The Photovoltaic Barometer is a periodic observatory promoted by Elmec Solar to analyze the state of dissemination and evolution of photovoltaics in Italy. The project aims to provide reliable data, market insights, and trends related to the energy transition, offering businesses, families, and stakeholders a knowledge tool to guide their choices towards more sustainable energy. Through surveys, territorial research, and the processing of data from qualified sources, the Barometer monitors key aspects such as: the level of adoption of photovoltaic systems in different areas of the country; the energy awareness of citizens and companies; the main obstacles and motivations for choosing renewable energies; the impact of regulations and incentives on investment decisions.

Elmec Solar presents the eighth edition of the Photovoltaic Barometer in Italy, which confirms the strong growth of the sector: by March 2024, the installed plants are 1,684,316, +27% compared to 2023. The most active regions are Lombardy, Veneto, Lazio, and Piedmont, with Rome, Brescia, and Padua taking the podium for the number of new installations. In the Capital, the increase has quintupled (+485%), while Brescia and Padua have quadrupled the results of the previous year. According to CEO Alessandro Villa, solar energy is now a deliberate choice for savings and energy independence.
