Secondhand: the online market for used goods in Europe is worth 21.6 billion euros; an increase of 2 billion euros is expected by 2025

The online market for used and returned products in Europe has now reached a value of 21.6 billion euros and is expected to increase by 2 billion euros by 2025, according to new research commissioned by Amazon. The research reveals that the growing online second-hand market contributed 1.4 billion euros to the Italian economy in 2024. Throughout the year, 63% of Italian consumers purchased second-hand products online, spending 2.5 billion euros and saving approximately 3.2 billion euros. This market is expected to grow to 2.6 billion euros by 2025.
