According to the Digital Innovation in Retail Observatory – Polytechnic University of Milan, in 2024, the impact of digital investments on the revenue of Italian retailers rises to 3.2%, confirming a path of consolidation of the projects initiated in previous years. Retailers are experimenting with new platform-based business models and increasingly integrating Artificial Intelligence into business processes, from enhancing customer experience to managing the supply chain. The Italian retail market is experiencing slight growth (+1% in total sales) but maintains a stable online presence (11%).
