The B2C eCommerce Observatory Netcomm – School of Management of Politecnico di Milano presents new data on digital commerce in Italy: by 2025, online product purchases will reach 40.1 billion euros, marking an increase of +6% compared to 2024. All sectors are on the rise, led by Food & Grocery and Beauty & Pharma (+7%), followed by Furniture, Clothing, and Electronics. The share of online shopping in total consumption rises to 11.2%, with IT and consumer electronics in the lead (43% of total spending). According to the Observatory, this growth marks the maturity of the Italian eCommerce market, increasingly supported by AI, omnichannel strategies, and sustainability.
